How do you like this first chapter of a story im writing?

I read the first few lines, then stopped. The whole my name is sentence is a MAJOR don't in writing. Ever. Don't tell us this is your story, SHOW us! Don't tell us that your best friend is popular, SHOW us. By us, I mean the reader. Your story already starts off too shallow for my taste, anyway. Your grammar needs a little work, too.
