Is backing off a sign of decency or lack of boldness?

no,it wouldn`t be mean or evil of you to tell him how you feel,though you`re aware that you may not be together. yes,i do agree that he has the right to know how you feel for him no matter what. and if i were him(or a guy),i`d think you`re brave and smart and i`d admire you for your courage ;) do what your heart tells ya. take care
