Can a company change vacation policy without notifying employees?

The company i work for gave 2 weeks of vacation for a year of service. Starting from day one of being employed you accrue vacation time each pay period. You are allowed to go 2 weeks "negative" meaning you can use the vacation throughout the year and earn it back by the end of the fiscal year. Some people used it right away and got paid all 2 weeks, while another 1/2 of us saved it for holiday time. I took 40 hours and then was told the policy had changed and i had none left for the year. Then, everyday for about 20 min or less, take the older cat into the room, hold the new kitten in the space between your legs, (in a cross-legged position) and let the cat just be in the room with the new kitten, to learn to accept the kitten. When I was pregnant and I am a type 2 going into my pregnancy I was not on insulin and now I can't get off of it. I too early in my pregnancy had sugars of 400-500. My MD put me on insulin the day I called his nurse to inform him of the pregnancy. Then my OB/GYN managed me the rest of the pregnancy. My starting Ha1c was 8.2 and in one month I went to 6.5. I went on NPH twice daily and also tested before and after meals and had to do novolog with meals. I tested 6-8 times a day. I would even get up in the middle of the night to check it so as to not go too low by morning. Keep that sugar 70-110 if you can. Really, post prandial checks(2 hours after eating) should be back to 120. The insulin resistance grows quickly and larger doses are need the further along you become. (this insulin resistance is from the placenta). It is tedious, but soooo worth it to hold that healthy baby in your arms. I had to have a cesarean because even though I kept my sugars tight, He was still 9 pound 10 ounces. He was a bit big, but healthy. I am so glad I did the work. Good luck and congratulations!

Many factors contribute to both of these issues. And yes I agree that bad parenting seems to be a key indicator on both problems, but not always the absolute answer. In either case a parent should stand back and look at their responsibility in the matter, and do their part to rectify the problem. That being said, the child/teen should also evaluate their own life and take their share of the responsibility as well. After all, I would be willing to bet in most cases of dropout or pregnancy, that the parent wasn't forcing, or even encouraging the activity which lead to the out come, but at times the parent wasn't doing much to prevent it either.

Hi.. I'm a 30 yr old physically challenged man. I walk slowly with a caliper and walker. I want to be healthy in my life without any diseases like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, stroke, etc. I could not do exercises like brisk walk, exer-cycle, treadmill, etc. I can walk slowly using my walker just for my mobility purpose but I could not do walking exercise continuously for more than 5 to 10 minutes. I can able to do some weight bearing exercise using dumbells. I can able to do this dumbell exercise for 30 minutes. When Im doing this dumbell exercise, I dont sweat but I try to give my full effort for half an hour. I dont know whether my heart beats fast or not while doing this dumbell exercise. Now my question is... If i keep on do this dumbell exercise alone(which alone I could do) will I be able to prevent from the above said diseases? Also, Im not over weight and Im under diet control. Pls advice.

My 17 yr. old son was wrongfully arrested. My son had many alibis, both adult and teenage friends, none of whom had ever been charged with anything . The courts found my son totally innocent and exonerated him. They also charged the person with making a false statement to the police. The police had not questioned the alibis or investigated properly. They just went ahead and charged him. It was later proven the whole thing was fabricated. I was just going through my workbook. I narrowed it down to two answers on one of the problems. When I checked my answer, I found that my first guess, B, was actually correct. Why? "Because ETS likes to avoid controversy." So this got me thinking...I know there are lots of rules of thumb with the SAT...but maybe there are a few I don't know? 1995 Volkswagen Golf GL 2.0 starts jerking after 5-10 minutes of driving, especially when driving slower speed

Hi, my '95 VW Golf GL 2.0 starts jerking after about 5 minutes of driving. Could someone tell what the problem could be? My father thought it was fuel filter, but after changing it, the problem did not go away. The jerking is especially noticeable during slower speed 10-50. When I step on gas to go fast it seems to go away, until I slow down again. It (the jerking) also goes away when I am driving in neutral. My cars FWD. I had fuel injector problems before with this car, so maybe fuel injector could be the problem? Someone mentioned fuel pump, could it be the fuel pump? I do not want to start buying new parts until I know what the problem is. My car is also without a muffler at this moment, just that end part. But I was told that should not be causing the jerking or twitching. I highly doubt it's the tires too, because I know what it feels and sounds like when the tires are bad. Please let me know what could be causing this problem, or the best way to find out the problem. Thanks!

Torn Miniscus --- Help!?

As an IB student, I personally feel that American high schools are not rigorous enough. However, I think that until those in charge of public schools confronts this problem, colleges should not raise admittance standards. In America, college has become almost necessary for anyone who wants to make money because public schools do not give them an adequate education, but colleges making AP/IB a requirement would exclude students coming from schools that for one reason or another do not offer these programs. Where I used to live, the high school was often criticized because it only offered one or two AP cles. Ok so I have a bad hearing problem since I was a little girl, I have had popping sounds when I swallow, ringing every now and then, and I also cant hear high frequencies I have had all these problems since I was a little girl, I have also had TMJ where my mouth used to get stuck every time I would open it, but it got better over the years it hasnt gotten stuck in a long long time but I still have those weird movements in my jaw and sound too. Reaction to benz peroxide facial cleanser?

My skin has been horrible lately so I went and bough some acne wash that contains benzoyl peroxide. I used it every other day along with the same brand facial lotion for a total of 3 times. The last time I used it was 3 days ago. My pores are swollen. I have a strange texture to my skin. It burns horribly. It looks as if it burnt my skin. I went and bought some ponds brand cold cream and dry skin cream for the face. I'm in pain. Any suggestions? I know benzoyl peroxide dries the skin out but like I said, I'm in pain. I'm concerned since I didn't use it but for 3 days. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would write up a bill showing what items should have been provided and were not. Show on it how much you owe them due to you quitting the babysitting earlier then previously agreed on. Subtract what they owe and present them with the bill. If you owe them more, you should probably refund them (because it was your choice to stop the care, not theirs), otherwise you can ask for the difference or just tell them that you will accept what they still owe instead of the next 3 days of care. My Puppy Has A Lump On Her Head?!?

I have been raised a Catholic, but have put off getting my own children Baptized. I have been questioning the ethics of the Church for a number of years. My problem is, do I let him immerse into this Church or find another, eg Baptist etc, in order for him to decide to be Baptised for himself. How can i lose just a bit of fat on my stomach and thighs?

im 14 underweight by like 5 pounds-140 on empty stomach, 5'9" im thinking, i have a little fat around the stomach area, abs are not "rock" solid but their hard but dont show, my thighs never bothered doing anything for them yet, but i do about 50 crunches/situp on a weight bench that is slanted and take a minuter or two rest then do 50 more, and so on i usually walk 30-50 minutes before or after doing crunches let me know which is best, used to walk about 6 hours a day but i cant becuase no longer allowed in the sun doctors orders and now im nocturnal because of it. i do count calories about approx 1000 a day sometimes none at all or less as im not very hungry ever, yes i do know that im only fourteen and you might say not to worry you'll still grow, wrong i have smoked for about two years weed and cigs, cigs stunt growth as i didnt know that until recently try to stop about 3 weeks ago, now ill smoke them if somebody else offers or has one available, i'd like to have my abs show, ive gotten drunk 3 times so it aint a beer belly obviously but id appreciate it if anybody could help me with this, maybe also a diet i could follow. 98 Chevy S10 4 cylinder motor noise/issue?

My truck is making a dull clicking noise that gets better/worse depending on the RPM. It has significant loss of power, yet someone I was talking to said I should check the plugs and wires because to them it sounded like it isn't firing on all cylinders. I had already changed 3 of the 4 (front one is a pain because I have to move/remove the A/C thing. Could it just be not firing on one cylinder? Spring is better if you like warmer weather but autumn is very pretty too. I grew up in germany and have seen most of these places and they are definitely worth the visit. it is possible to start jazz without ballet, but honestly you won't be very good at it without ballet! ballet gives you proper technique and makes you look good at jazz and other types of dancing. you should do ballet first and do it for at least 2-3 years, yes, this seems like a long time but if you want to prosper in jazz you'll have to have a good foundation of ballet. if it is allowed where you're taking(which it usually is), take both! if not, go with ballet!

I know of no bank that does not give the receipt with the deposit amount and the date. If they use your name and account number, then you lose this receipt, someone finds it, uses your bank account to clean it out. There is a number on the receipt that will tie it back to your account. If the put the balance on it, and you need someone to make a deposit for you do you want them seeing your balance? First post is correct. Even your smaller clowns (ocellaris and percula) require bare minimum around 30 gallons. Also damsels are very aggressive and you would have to get to rid of them after your tank has completed its cycle, however your live rock has not been given ample time to cure in the tank. It doesn't matter what quality the live rock is, it must be given time to cure properly. Your tank would have cycled properly with the live rock alone, as the micro-organisms died off and produced a food source for the nitrifying bacteria. Albeit slowly, none-the-less it would have cycled. Both tangs are out of the question for this tank. A Yellow can be kept in a 55, although as the first post said I would not keep in a Blue Tang in anything less then 125 gallons. I have 2 blues in a 125 gallon reef, and they still seem short for room at times. Ditch the bubbler as salt creep is not something you want to clean up constantly and buy some powerheads, hydor-koralia nano pumps are good, as are maxi-jets. Maxi-jets are more direct where-as the hydors have a larger range of circulation. As far the hardness is concerned more info will have to be supplied. Seahorses can be kept with smaller, non-aggressive gobies, however if you want seahorses that is all you will able to keep with them. Also they are advanced aquarists species and have special requirements which are relative only to themselves. Slow down and be patient. Nothing good happens quickly in this hobby and the best thing you can do is to let things happen on their own. If you keep moving too quickly your problems and issues will merge in on one another and it will become more difficult to backtrack to the sources of any of the issues. This will result in a complete tank collapse and you will have to restock. Get a marine beginners book off of amazon or at a local bookstore and read it thoroughly. Research is required in this hobby and it will pay off. Truly best of Luck

Hi, I've got a 5 year old lab who recently has picked up a very bad habit... after one of my cat's takes a dump, he goes into the cats bathroom and eats there poo! Trust me, I clean the cat box literally 3 times a day, but I have 6 cats so sometimes I don't even know a cat has used the restroom until I hear my lab open the door to the room where the cat's little box is... Every time I catch him doing it I make it clear that he is not supposed to go in that room! I can tell when he has done it even before I see the door open because he has that guilty look on his face lol so I know he knows that he is not supposed to do it, but he won't stop! It's like he knows when a cat is in there and will follow right behind them... a baby gate doesn't work because he will just push if over of hop over it... any solutions to this issue? When you put any game in, and mind you I have tried over a dozen, it tries to read it for a good 5 minutes maybe more, then says the disc could not be read. Do I need to go have the inside cleaned? How to fix a blow out at double 0?

I have had my ears gauged at 0 then took them out let them out for a year and have recently started stretching again, i got back to my 0's just fine well my ears felt ready... or so i thought. I slid the stretchers in perfectly fine, didn't hurt at all, and i used "lube". I noticed my left ear hurts and my other ear hurts, i asked a friend who has 2 inch plugs to check my ear and he says i might have a small blow out. I want to go bigger, but idk now because of that.
