Why does Sarah Palin always invoke the Founding Fathers?

Doesn't she realize that if she was alive back then, she wouldn't have been able to run for office, much less hold one? She would have been threatened with her husband's hemp crafted whip that was usually used on their slaves and possibly drowned for witchcraft.
