Will there be a delay in conceiving the second time?

I had my first baby within a year of marriage.. now iam planning to conceive my second baby. my friends say i need to start planning before six months itself because the second one will not come as easily as the first one. since iam starting my plan in february and hoping to have my baby within the end of this year iam a bit apprehensive. answers with personal experience most welcome
