Does UK monitor arrival and departure of EU citizens?

I know that with non-EU tourists, they keep a log of whos coming and going but is it routinely done with EU pport holders in the airport? Is there a way for a EU citizen to prove that he was in the UK from the airport arrival log at any given moment without bank statements, phone records etc? Thanks.
