How do I make Sweet Dill pickles with Cinnamon red hots?

My grandma used to buy a jar of dill pickles slices from the store.Drain them,boil the juice and add Cinnamon red hots,sugar and i dont know what else.They were so crisp and good.I'm looking for a recipe if anyone has one..Thanks
