I'm confused, should I keep seeing this guy?

I feel like his back up chick. Also, I feel like I am being really affected emotionally by this. He is sweet and nice sometimes...but other times he seems distant and aloof. He dumped me for his ex a few months ago, then dumped her and wanted me back. I just don't think that he knows what he wants...and I feel that I am caught up in his confusing drama. Should I keep seeing him, because I do have feelings for him, and we get along really good.
