I remember a 90s mtv video but not the name and artist..can anyone help?

I swore the song was called "popular" but it's hard to find a song titled popular in a google search. Please help me out people. I know the chorus had the word popular in it, and it was a video of the lead singer and the head cheerleader making out on bleachers. I really want to hear it again to see if it's still good!
