I have a problem with the way my bank does business with me. Every time I deposit money into?
I know of no bank that does not give the receipt with the deposit amount and the date. If they use your name and account number, then you lose this receipt, someone finds it, uses your bank account to clean it out. There is a number on the receipt that will tie it back to your account. If the put the balance on it, and you need someone to make a deposit for you do you want them seeing your balance? The deposit cannot be credited immediately if it is not cash since they must wait for a check to clear before it is actually in your account, so if they give you a receipt showing a balance that is not accurate since it is not yet available, and you use this info to withdraw funds, the deposit check bounces, making you overdrawn ,you will blame the bank. Your monthly statement is the proof you have and if there is an error, you can get the bank to correct it by showing your receipts.
